Your tasks:
- Prepare and deliver the month end financial reporting for Corporate Banking activities
- Ensure a robust financial control environment including appropriate documentation are in place and kept up to date.
- Investigate and resolve all accounting matters to ensure a robust, accurate and timely output is prepared
- Review the process, simplify, automated and improve
- Take ownership for all Balance Sheet reconciliations and attestations relating to the CB balances across the appropriate ledgers
- Develop the monthly performance reporting analysis, ensuring financial performance aligns to current and future expectations. Clearly understanding and explaining deviations from plan
- Manage and own the required reforecasting and planning processes
- Where new facilities, processes or products are launched, be the point of contact & the subject matter expert, to ensure that all financial matters are considered and addressed in advance. Test in advance (where required) and validate post launch
- Proactively manage a diverse range of stakeholders and stakeholder queries relating to the financial performance and control of CB
Your knowledge/experience
- Accounting Qualification (CIMA, ACCA) and/or educated to degree level in Business Administration or Economics
- Several years’ working experience in finance/ controlling/ reporting
- Very good Excel and data management skills
- Practical understanding of relevant financial systems, processes and controls
- Very Good verbal and written communications skills to be able to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders in both GmbH and LB UK
- Fluent in English, German is a plus
- Dealing positively with unanticipated events and ability to keep people engaged and committed
- Eagerness to be part of a cross-functional and cross-cultural teams that drives innovation in the financial services industry
