This role focusses on the various stress testing requirements for Lloyds Bank GmbH, ensuring the financial modelling of the Bank’s Balance Sheet and P&L are appropriate and robust. Additionally the Manager-Financial Stress Testing is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the financial models.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, this role provides the opportunity to contribute to the success of the business through:             

  • Managing the delivery of timely and insightful stress testing outputs
  • Maintain and enhance stress testing models
  • Liaise with the business and second line teams

The role would suit an experienced finance professional with a track record of success in financial analysis, with strong communication skills and a drive to contribute to the success of the business.  

 

Your tasks:

  • Conduct regular stress testing exercises: Execute regular stress tests on financial models and portfolios to identify potential vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. PRA, ICAAP, LSI).
  • Develop and Implement Stress Testing Frameworks: Design and maintain comprehensive stress testing frameworks to assess the financial resilience of the organisation under various economic scenarios.
  • Analyse Stress Test Results: Interpret and analyse the results of stress tests, providing detailed reports and actionable insights to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with risk management, finance, and other departments to integrate stress testing results into broader risk assessment and strategic planning processes.
  • Enhance Stress Testing Methodologies: Continuously improve stress testing methodologies and tools to enhance accuracy and reliability of results.
  • Report to Management: Prepare and present stress testing findings and recommendations to management, highlighting key risks and proposed mitigation strategies.
  • Apply appropriate control procedures to ensure accuracy of outputs.
  • Assist Senior Manager for Planning and Reporting in providing functional leadership

Your knowledge/experience: 

  • Qualified Accountant or comparable Master’s degree, minimum of 5 years post qualification experience
  • Knowledge of IFRS (HGB also a plus)
  • Good Python knowledge required
  • Very good excel skills
  • Knowledge of discounted financial cashflows and financial modelling
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Commercially aware with ability to interact effectively and influence constructively with business colleagues
  • Ability to consistently produce accurate work within tight timescales
  • Fluent in English, German is desired
